Lectures on diversity and inclusion

This year the Diversity Office will organise several lectures on diversity and inclusion in cooperation with the different faculties at Leiden University. Our first lecture, Inclusive Leadership: how to maximise diverse talent, will be on 13 March in the Wijnhaven Building in The Hague. We have invited international speakers from across the globe to share with us their ideas on leadership, how to create an inclusive organisation and how to maximise the diverse talents of all.

Join Sophia Women's Network

Sophia - the Leiden University's women’s network - wants to include more and more diverse women in its board. Currently the temporary board consists of professors only. We also want to include assistant professors, associate professors, PhD students and postdocs. Do you want to change Leiden University? Do you want to be heard? If you do, please get in touch and mail to: sophia@leidenuniv.nl.

Networks started up

A range of different networks has been started up to think about how our university can be more inclusive for all staff and students. Sophia Women’s  Network for female scientists  was launched last year and an LGBT+ network for staff and students also saw the light in 2017. Networks for bicultural/international staff and for students and staff with disabilities are in the process of being set up. For more information, please mail to diversiteit@leidenuniv.nl.
