Leiden University signs Amnesty manifesto against sexual violence

Leiden University signed the Amnesty International ‘Let’s talk about YES’ manifesto on 10 March, confirming the university’s commitment to preventing sexual violence. The D&I Expertise Office facilitates consent trainings for study and student associations. Please contact us via diversitytraining@bb.leidenuniv.nl for more information on the trainings.

On 8 March, International Women’s Day, President of the Executive Board Annetje Ottow and Rector Magnificus Hester Bijl talked with a group of university staff from all levels within the organisation, and shared examples of challenges in their careers and how they handled them.

Being the first: the university wide network for first generation academics

In this meeting Semiha Aydin will tell you about her experiences as a first generation student. She was involved in the development of the Pre-Study Programme (PSP) of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. She recently finished her dissertation and received a grant for clinical research.
