What you always wanted to know about the European Research Programmes

  • Is it really true that I need to have a partner from the Mediterranean or East European Countries?
  • What is the best way to lobby my project at the European Commission?
  • The bureaucracy is so severe I will never be the coordinator.
  • Hey, I can do real science and get paid by the Commission as well!

The answers to these questions, prejudices and other notable information about this topic will be given in an intensive one-day course on 20 September:

How to write a competitive proposal to FP7
This course is intended for those who are interested in becoming involved in European Research Programmes: researchers, researcher managers and administrators and want to know more about it.

The aim of this one day course is to train research managers and administrators in writing professional and competitive proposals for the Framework 7. The course describes the relevance of Framework 7 to EU policies, the common problems in proposal writing and the success criteria for proposals. The course provides tips on how to collect information, how to select strategic partners and how to avoid duplication in proposal writing. The final section describes a strategy for proposal writing.

The course presenter is the well known Sean McCarthy (Managing director from  Hyperion Ltd. in Ireland, specialized in training research managers). His courses on European Research Programmes are famous in Europe and in universities.

This one day course is organised by the LURIS and has partly sponsored it. Therefore the course fee is only  € 100,00.

Please register as soon as possible since the course is restricted to 40 participants to staff of the university and LUMC (and those to be considered staff).

Feel free to forward this invitation to other colleagues interested.
