'Leiden to the
core' Is
he looking forward to being President and Rector of the oldest
university in the Netherlands? Carel Stolker pauses, then
answers evenly: 'Yes, actually I am.' During
the conversation, a few days before the transfer of
the rectorship, it is obvious that he is impatient to get
started. He has no intention of changing all the good
things that his predecessor achieved, but he will add his own
touches.

Do love perfumes
work? Valentines

them irresistable to the opposite sex. Do these ploys
work or not? Go to the Leiden Psychology Blog for Cognitive

Leiden scientists tackle
cancer at the source Cancer
is now the number one killer in the Netherlands. Each year
World Cancer Day (4 February) is a time to reflect upon the
consequences of this disease and the best way to fight it.
Bioscientists from Leiden are studying cancer at the most
fundamental level, which puts them at the source of new
treatments. This is just some of their current, groundbreaking
research.
