Organized by ICLON. A presentation by Professor Pam Grossman, Stanford University. All professional schools are charged with preparing their students for clinical practice. Yet practice has always had an uneasy relationship, at best, with university education. Universities have been ambivalent about the status and content of the more practical coursework that is part and parcel of most professional programs. We know surprisingly little about the preparation for professional practice that happens in the university context.
