On 20 June Leiden University Centre for Islam and Society (LUCIS) presents Dr. Celia de Anca, director of SCIEF, Europe’s leading center for Islamic Economics and Finance.
In her lecture (30-45 minutes), Dr. Celia de Anca will address: – the basics of islamic finance: principles as derived from islam, ethical underpinnings (theory) – its emergence as a niche sector (practice) – comparison with conventional finance and other ethical finance niches – trends and debates about islamic finance
