On Saturday 10 November, LUCL will host the public symposium ‘Albanian language and culture: 100 years of independence’. The event will include lectures on the language, history and culture of the country with the aim of introducing these topics to the Dutch public as well as pique the interest of academics and students of the University of Leiden and beyond in further exploring the Albanian language and culture. On Friday evening 9 November, the Albanian movie ‘The foregiveness of blood’ will be screened in the Lipsius building.
